Who is responsible

What we store and why
- Account: the email address and name from your sign-in, an internal account id, the sign-in method, and when you signed up, last signed in and accepted these terms. Purpose: sending your digest to the address you signed in with, and proving your consent.
- Preferences: language, time zone, delivery time, weekdays and blogs. Purpose: building your digest.
- Digest history: for each digest, its date, status and the posts it contained (kept 90 days).
- Credits: your balance and every credit change (kept as bookkeeping records).
- Site suggestions: if you suggest a blog, the address you entered, when you suggested it, and the status of its automatic check and of the operator's review (the check notes hold the address and the result, never your name or email address). Purpose: checking and reviewing the blog, showing you its status, and limiting how many suggestions an account can make. Your suggestions are part of your data export. A suggestion you remove is deleted at once; one that was not added (rejected, failed, not reviewed within 90 days, or already in the list) 90 days after that outcome; an added one stays in your list until you delete your account (or remove it, once the blog is no longer in the list); all of them, and the check notes tied to them, with your account. The operator's record of a decision (the blog's address, feed and decision date) holds no link to you. When we check a suggested blog, the site sees only our crawler, never who suggested it. A blog that was added stays in the list for everyone; the list does not record who suggested it.
- Trial fingerprint: a keyed, one-way fingerprint of your normalized email address and the time of your first sign-up, so that each person gets the free trial once. It is kept for 12 months, also after you delete your account.
Your personal data is never sent to the AI model: posts are summarized once per language for all readers, from the public blog text only.
Who processes it
- Microsoft Azure (hosting, storage, sign-in through Microsoft Entra External ID, and the AI model that summarizes public blog posts).
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Our email delivery provider, which receives your address and the digest content to deliver it.
These providers may process data outside Switzerland; we rely on contractual safeguards for such transfers.
